Star Force: Mak'to'ran (3): Star Force Universe, Book 29 , Hörbuch, Digital, ungekürzt, 184min
The fracturing of the V'kit'no'sat Empire has now come to fruition, but the full-fledged civil war has not resulted. With the depth of experience and knowledge the dinosaur races have accumulated over the millennia, they know the destructive cost that such devastation would bring, and a conservative warfare methodology breaks out wherein the fighting is over territory while trying to spare lives and as much equipment as possible, so not to weaken the overall empire.Hence, the era of the Stun Wars has begun.Beginning the Star Force Phase 2 timeline, the Mak'to'ran serial details the defeated V'kit'no'sat fleet commander's days following the attack on Earth and the fallout within the Dinosaur empire that results from it. For as bad as the treason regarding the Humans and the bastardized Hadarak is, and the implications that one of the two founding V'kit'no'sat races are behind it, a much larger rift within the empire is being exposed that has the potential to do what neither the Zak'de'ron culling nor the Rit'ko'sor rebellion accomplished.A full Dinosaur civil war. Star Force is a massive scifi franchise currently divided into two phases. Phase 2 is the V'kit'no'sat war between Star Force and the Dinosaur empire. Phase 1 is the backstory to that conflict detailed in the Origin Series that contains 100 novella-length episodes.New listeners can either start with the backstory, or jump right into the conflict with the Phase 2 entry novel Lost Destiny. The Mak'to'ran series is written in heavy canon detail and not friendly to new listeners...unless you're adventurous, adaptive, and overly intelligent. If you are, then you might be worthy of being a V'kit'no'sat, in which case dive right in and learn how Jurassic Park got the dinosaurs oh so wrong. They're not attractions in a petting zoo. They're the masters of our galaxy. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Stephen Day. Audio sample: https://samples.audible.de/bk/acx0/152036/bk_acx0_152036_sample.mp3. Working Class Heroes and Truths
Ol' Cheeky Bastards started with a dobro and some bagpipes... Seminal San Francisco punk-rocker Dave Dalton (Screaming Bloody Marys, Cell Block 5) got bored, pissed off, and tired with the whole punk scene, and started busking Celtic folk songs and "bastardized" Pogues tunes with bagpiper, whistle player, and bohdran drummer Sean Cummings. Then, it all got weird really fast. Dalton got signed to Vagrant Records of Seattle, cut Bag O' Tricks in 2008 with producer, guitarist, and Guitar Player editor in chief Michael Molenda (who then joined the group), added bassist Patrick Wong and vocalist/percussionist Cheryl Doll, recorded the acoustic-oriented Working Class Heroes & Truths for Rotten Eggs Records in 2009, performed with everyone from the Vibrators to Ian McLagan, and ended up with a rowdy-ass band that comes on like the Faces and Pogues in a cage match with T. Rex and the Sweet. If you're partial to categorizing music, you could call Ol' Cheeky Bastards a busker-punk group with drunken Celtic overtones awash in the blood and sweat of pub riots, but that probably won't fit on your iPod screen. It's just good noise, really. And as Dave himself would say, "A good time."- Shop: odax
