Kat Válastur taucht in ihr Bewegungsgedächtnis ein und nutzt ihre imaginäre und visuelle Sprache, um die kaleidoskopische Erfahrung einer Künstlerin in der heutigen Zeit zu erforschen. Mit Hilfe der Geister von Frauen der Vergangenheit und Gegenwart, die unterdrückt, ausgegrenzt, missbraucht, verbrannt oder enthauptet wurden, verwandelt sie den Bühnenraum in eine Zone, eine eingekapselte Welt und ein potenzielles Zuhause mit magischer Kraft, aufgeladen mit weiblicher Transzendenz und Spiritualität.?Eye, Lash!? war ursprünglich für Februar 2021 als Tanzpremiere auf der HAU2-Bühne geplant. Aufgrund der damaligen Situation war es dem HAU und der Künstlerin nicht möglich, diese Soloarbeit live zu präsentieren. Stattdessen war ein filmisches Erlebnis für HAU4 entstanden. Kat Válastur dives into her personal movement archive and uses her imaginary and visual language to explore the kaleidoscopic experience of a female artist in contemporary times. With the help of the spirits of women of the past and present who have been oppressed, marginalized, abused, burned or decapitated she transforms the space into a zone, an enclosed world and potential home of magical power, charged with female transcendence and spirituality.?Eye, Lash!? was originally planned as a dance premiere on the HAU2 stage in February 2021. Due to the lockdown of the theaters, it was not possible for HAU and the artist to present this solo work live back then. Instead, a cinematic experience was created for HAU4. Now the work can finally be seen on stage in front of an audience.
