Medium-bodied and with a very firm structure of wonderfully ripe, pixelated tannins and exhilarating freshness, it finishes long with notes of pebbles and floral perfume." Wine Spectator: 90-93/100 Punkte "Crunchy plum and black currant notes are fresh and focused, while chalk, iron and savory details line the finish. Shows nice purity and minerally drive." James Suckling: 95/100 Punkte "Tight and compacted with chewy tannins and showing hot-stone, blackberry and blueberry character. Full body and a driven finish." Vinous (Neal Martin): 89-91/100 Punkte "The 2017 Clerc Milon was picked from 13 to 29 September and matured in 50% new oak (which was represented in the blend tasted.) It has a more closed, backward bouquet compared to the sample of d'Armailhac. It actually reminds me of that other "Milon", Duhart-Milon in style. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, a fine bead of acidity, quite austere and conservative with a precise, pencil-lead, Valrhona chocolate and smoke infused finish that just pulls up a little short at the moment.   Vega Sicilia »Único« 2011 0.75L 14% Vol. Rotwein Trocken aus Spanien

  Die Geschichte des Weingutes Vega Sicilia geht auf das Jahr 1842 zurück, als Don Toribio Lecanda karges Weideland am Ufer des Duero kaufte. Damals ahnte er nicht, dass er hiermit den Grundstein zu einem Mythos legte. Don Toribio ging nach Bordeaux, um dort Rebsetzlinge der Sorten Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Malbec, Merlot und Pinot Noir zu kaufen. Hauptrebsorte bleibt jedoch der ortsübliche Tempranillo, hier Tinto Fino genannt. Im Jahr 1915 wurde der erste Vega Sicilia auf den Markt gebracht. Eine Weinlegende war geboren. Robert Parker's Wineadvocat vergibt 96 Punkte für diesen Jahrgang: „The Único released in 2021, 10 years after the harvest, is the 2011 Único, selected from 40 of their 210 hectares of vineyards. 2011 is a concentrated and ripe vintage, and they selected 95% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon that were cooled in a cold room for 24 hours before being sorted; the bunches and grapes macerated at 9 to 10 degrees Celsius for three to four days, and then it was inoculated with a pied de cuve to ferment with pumping overs. Malolactic was in stainless steel, and the wine was put through a long aging, 10 years between oak and bottle, using new and used French and American oak barrels and 20,000-liter oak vats. For Vega Sicilia, 2011 was a fresher year than 2010, not the common idea about those vintages in Ribera del Duero. The wine has a developed nose with some notes of ripe black fruit, meat and underbrush, somewhat herbal and perfumed. There is something about the nose of the Únicos that I cannot quite describe but is quite distinct, and it's in this vintage and also in the Reserva Especial. 88,288 bottles, 3,505 magnums, 318 double magnums, 60 Imperial and 3 Salmanazar were produced. It has a pH of 3.75, 15% alcohol and an IPT (total polyphenol index) of 96. Deep garnet-purple colored, it is a little closed and broody to begin, offering subtle notions of fertile loam, tobacco, truffles and cast iron pan with a core of crème de cassis, blackberry compote and boysenberries with hints of underbrush and bay leaves. Full, rich and seductive in the mouth, it has firm, rounded tannins and just enough freshness to lift the dense fruit to a long finish."  Wine Spectator: 90-93/100 Punkte "The solid core of kirsch and plum sauce flavors is laced with apple wood and graphite notes. The palate is medium-bodied, ripe, plump, juicy and expressive with plush tannins and good length. The current blend is 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot."  Vinous (Neal Martin): 90-92/100 Punkte "The 2017 Labégorce was picked 15 September to 4 October and matured in 45% new oak. It has a perfumed bouquet with rose petal and violet aromas infusing the dark cherry and raspberry pastille notes. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and a fine line of acidity. There is some vanillary oak to be subsumed during the élevage, wood tannins just lining the mouth on the aftertaste. But this is a finely made Margaux that should age well over the next 15 to 20 years. Trinkreife: 2022-2040"  Decanter: 92/100 Punkte "An excellent Labegorce, full of rich black fruits, textured and layered. A great success in the vintage, with a mouthwatering delivery that holds itself with confidence. The blend is usually around 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, but this year it has a high percentage of Merlot: 58%, with 39% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 La Croix de Beaucaillou has quite a spicy nose sporting cloves, anise, black pepper and fenugreek with a core of crushed blackberries and black currants plus wafts of underbrush and potpourri. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, grainy tannins and great freshness supporting the vivacious fruit, finishing long and earthy."  James Suckling: 93/100 Punkte  "This is very fresh and minerally with a salty and oyster shell character. Full body, tight and bright. Plenty of currant flavors too." Decanter: 91/100 Punkte  "The Merlot here is grown on sandy-gravel soils and brings both freshness and structure.
