The word chakra is derived from the Sanskrit word cakra, meaning "wheel". It was first described in the Vedas, ancient Hindu texts that date back to about 1,500 BCE. Throughout history, many cultures - including the Egyptians, Hindus, Chinese, Sufis, Zarathustrians, Greeks, Native Americans, Incas, and Mayans, among others - have all known these centers of energy, or the chakra system, to be a reflection of the natural law that exists within the universe and an intertwined counterpart to our physical selves. Chakras are force vortexes inside each one of us. These vortexes of energy transport energy into your aura and body from the universe around you, as well as between the physical body and the layers of your aura. Your chakra system can be thought to be similar to a spiritual bloodstream. Blood carries throughout the body oxygen, nutrients, and hormones; it helps to regulate and balance the body; and it protects the body by removing waste products and coagulating when the body is damaged. Your bloodstream connects and supports many other physical body systems in much the same way that your chakra system connects and supports your physical self and energy self. While you will not see the relaxation of the practicing chakra right now, you will see a big change in your mind and body once meditation becomes one of your routines. Chakra mediation yields many advantages: Brain Preserves the brain from aging Improves key brain areas Better memory Better concentration Mental health Stress relief Protects from depression Reduces panic symptoms and anxiety Relaxation and inner peace Physical health Reduces blood pressure Reduces risk of heart attack Alzheimer's prevention Reduces back pain Self-detection. As we touch the energies inside our chakras, we interact more deepl ungekürzt. This series of talks is on one of the most esoteric treatises in the world. It will show you the way to become more than the body and the way to bloom - how not to remain a seed but to become a golden flower. What, in India, they call the one thousand-petalled lotus, in China they call the golden flower. It is a symbol that represents perfection, totality. Moreover, the flower represents the actualization of the potential - the beauty, the grandeur, the splendor of being. This treatise, The Secret of Secrets: The Secret of the Golden Flower, is very ancient, possibly one of the most ancient treatises in the world - at least 25 centuries old. But 25 centuries can be traced back very easily. And this treatise is also, uniquely, a great synthesis of all the great religions. The Bible belongs to the Christians, the Talmud belongs to the Jews, the Vedas belong to the Hindus, the Dhammapada to the Buddhists, the Tao Te Ching to the Taoists. But this small book, The Secret of Secrets: The Secret of the Golden Flower, belongs to no one in particular, or it belongs to all. It is heavily based on Taoist teachings, a flowering of the Taoist approach to life and existence. But it is not only that. Zarathustra has played a role; his teachings are incorporated within it. Buddhist teachings have also been integrated, and a certain esoteric school of Christians, the Nestorians, have played their part. It is one of the most synthetical approaches. These 31 talks will introduce you to a world of consciousness, meditation, and a transformative space - it's a pure joy to listen to Osho. Language: English. Narrator: Osho. When knowledge was on the decline and meaningless ritualism was on the rise in ancient India, self-realized masters wrote the Upanishads to revive the authentic wisdom of the Vedas. Pandit Rajmani Tigunait explains that the Upanishads are simply training manuals telling you how to know yourself at every level. He reveals how to attain peace and freedom by living fully in the external world, using its objects to create inner fulfillment and knowledge. Then, as you work on the process of introspection and self-discovery, you will develop the health and power to be a light to others. Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, Ph.D., the spiritual head of the Himalayan Institute, is the successor of Swami Rama of the Himalayas. Lecturing and teaching worldwide for more than a quarter of a century, he is a regular contributor to Yoga + Joyful Living magazine (formerly Yoga International), and the author of 14 books, including his autobiography, Touched by Fire: The Ongoing Journey of a Spiritual Seeker and the best-selling At the Eleventh Hour: The Biography of Swami Rama of the Himalayas. Pandit Tigunait holds two doctorates: one in Sanskrit from the University of Allahabad in India, and another in Oriental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. Family tradition gave Pandit Tigunait access to a vast range of spiritual wisdom preserved in both the written and oral traditions. Before meeting his master, Pandit Tigunait studied Sanskrit, the language of the ancient scriptures of India, as well as the languages of the Buddhist, Jaina, and Zorastrian traditions. In 1976, Swami Rama ordained Pandit Tigunait into the 5,000-year-old lineage of the Himalayan masters. ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: uncredited. On Jeroun, there is no question as to whether God exists - only what his intentions are. Under the looming judgment of Adrash and his ultimate weapon - a string of spinning spheres beside the moon known as The Needle - warring factions of white and black suits prove their opposition to the orbiting god with the great fighting tournament of Danoor, on the far side of Jeroun's only inhabitable continent. From the 13th Order of Black Suits comes Vedas, a young master of martial arts, laden with guilt over the death of one of his students. Traveling with him are Churls, a warrior woman and mercenary haunted by the ghost of her daughter, and Berun, a constructed man made of modular spheres possessed by the foul spirit of his creator. Together they must brave their own demons, as well as thieves, mages, beasts, dearth, and hardship on the perilous road to Danoor, and the bloody sectarian battle that is sure to follow. On the other side of the world, unbeknownst to the travelers, Ebn and Pol of the Royal Outbound Mages (astronauts using Alchemical magic to achieve space flight) have formed a plan to appease Adrash and bring peace to the planet. But Ebn and Pol each have their own clandestine agendas - which may call down the wrath of the very god they hope to woo. Who may know the mind of God? And who in their right mind would seek to defy him? Gritty, erotic, and fast-paced, author Zachary Jernigan takes you on a sensuous ride through a world at the knife-edge of salvation and destruction, in one of the year's most exciting fantasy epics. ungekürzt. Often appearing as Ṛgveda, the oldest of the four sacred books linked to Hinduism, it was composed in an ancient form of Sanskrit about 1500 BCE. The Rig Veda (Sanskrit: The Knowledge of Verses) was preserved in secrecy by ancient clans, initially orally, before it was written down about 300 BCE. These 1028 poems, grouped as 10 ‘Circles’ (mandalas), have variously been called hymns, poems or songs by Sanskrit scholars. The Rik (so pronounced by the ancient Angirases clans, or Seer-Priest families) was an experiment with sound. The emphasis is always on sounding the words perfectly. The focus tends to be on the ideas rather than on the authors in Vedic literature, they are largely religious in nature, reflecting the world view and spiritual preoccupations of ancient India. Like the Homeric epics, portions were composed during different periods in the north-western region of present-day India and Pakistan. That any of these verses have entered modern day usage is in itself extraordinary. No Hindu wedding is performed without reference to the Suryasukta, the model marriage of the Sun to the daughter of the Moon (Book 10, hymn 85). In India today certain surnames denote whether a family has a Vedic link, Dwivedi (knowledge of two vedas) Trivedi (three), Chaturvedi (four) among other Vedic linked ancestral roots. Very, very few had open access to this the Secret most Magical Veda. The writers or composers of the Vedic verses were essentially storytellers. Once they had told their stories enough times they began to believe in the mythology they had woven to explain the vagaries of the universe. The sudden flood, the torrential downpour, the landslides that killed life-giving cattle and the forest fires that consumed all it touched, the quaking earth or sudden drought, all of which disarrayed an agrarian community. In comparison with other ancient belief systems the magical practice contained herein link with the Judaic tradition. A social or ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Sagar Arya. Karma is the cosmic law that ensures all good deeds are rewarded, while bad deeds receive an equally deserving punishment. The concept of karma was first expressed in the ancient Hindu writings, known as the Vedas. Due to increased awareness and acceptance of eastern spiritual practices and philosophies worldwide these days, the concept of karma has become a widely accepted. It is a safe bet to say that almost the majority of us - regardless of culture, creed, and religion - do believe in some form of universal law that calls for us to act morally lest we will be faced with the repercussions. However, very few of us would take care not to violate this cosmic law. Consider this: do you ever feel like you are often at the wrong place, at the wrong time, and surrounded by the wrong people? It is as if the universe is conspiring against you. This is karma in motion. But if you often feel like a hopeless victim of fate, and believe that life can never go your way just like it had for everyone else, you could not have been more wrong. The karmic blueprint of your life is your own creation, and as such, you have the power within yourself to change it - for better or worse. Practical Buddhism for Karma Healing is a guide that will arm you with the right knowledge and practical tools to nurture your spiritual side and be free from the shackles of past "karmic debt". Using the principles and teachings of Buddhism, you will be guided towards fostering the right attitude that will have a profound positive effect on your daily life, and also help you attain inner peace. Before you know it, you will be attracting all the right people and circumstances into your life that will propel you to where we want to be. You owe it to yourself to take back the reigns of your destiny! ungekürzt. Language: English. Narrator: Aliz Smith. Audio sample: https://samples.audible.de/bk/acx0/102295/bk_acx0_102295_sample.mp3.
