Er verbachte unglaubliche 20 Jahre in französischen Eichenfässern, die vormals der Herstellung von hochwertigem Cognac dienten. Dadurch entsteht ein Rum, der auch Kenner zu begeistern weiß und am besten zu besonderen Anlässen getrunken werden sollte. Grundlage für den Moko 20 Years bildet ein in Panama destillierter Rum, der zunächst mehrere Jahre am Ursprungsort reift und dann mit voller Fassstärke – circa 63 bis 65% Vol. Alkoholgehalt – in die Keller der Maison Peyrat in Bordeaux gelangt. Mit der langen Reife in Cognac-Fässern wird ein Stil erzeugt, der die Eigenschaften eines Rums mit der Aromatik eines Cognacs gekonnt zusammenführt. Abschließend wird der Moko 20 Years auf eine Trinkstärke von 42% reduziert, um einen besonders harmonischen, nicht zu alkoholisch wirkenden Charakter zu erlangen. Ein wahrhaft außergewöhnlicher Rum, der zum Schwelgen einlädt und zu faszinieren weiß. Wie der Rum schmeckt: harmonisch & mild Im Glas zeigt sich dieser Rum mit einem tiefdunklen Bernsteinton. Zunächst erinnert der Duft vor allem an Karamell. Mit etwas mehr Sauerstoff gesellen sich Aromen von Vanille, Eichenholz und Tabak dazu. Die robuste und vielschichtige Struktur am Gaumen wird durch Noten von Feigen, Bourbon und gerösteten Nüssen eindrucksvoll ergänzt.
