Angefangen mit einer kurzen Erklärung wer er ist, woher er kommt, was ihn so umtreibt und schon ist er mittendrin, erzählt aus seiner Kindheit und Jugend, erzählt auf oft berührende Weise vun Vadder un Mudder, die ihn ohne Zweifel woll würklich leev harrn, sonst hätten sie Oma nicht in der Besucherritze schlafen lassen, bloß damit "de Jung sien Geburtsdag as jümmers fiern kunn". Diese tiefe Empfindung und all das, was ihn sonst noch durch Kindheit und Jugend begleitet hat, hat er sich bewahrt und lebt es, wenn auch nicht immer mit Gleichmut und Geduld - das, was ihm mitgegeben wurde, gibt er an seine Kinder weiter, auch wenn er da manchmal an Grenzen stößt. Immer wieder verblüfft Stührwoldt mit hintersinnigem Humor, reißt sein Publikum mit und genießt das sichtlich.
