SCHLEICH Pinto Fohlen
Pinto-Fohlen haben bereits bei ihrer Geburt ihr typisches geschecktes Fell. Mit der Zeit können farbige Flecken hinzukommen, die weissen Platten verändern sich aber in der Regel nicht mehr. Oft werden Pintos mit Paint Horses verwechselt, weil sie ihnen sehr ähnlich sehen. Paint Horses sind jedoch eine eigene Rasse, Pintos eine Farbzucht. Die hübschen Fellmuster können im Grunde also in jeder Rasse vorkommen. Man bezeichnet die Tiere dann zum Beispiel als Araber-Pinto oder Tinker-Pinto. Es gibt sogar Pintaloosas – eine Mischung aus Pinto und Appaloosa. Die Faustregel lautet: Wenn man die Rasse eines gescheckten Pferdes nicht weiss, kann man getrost Pinto sagen. Das stimmt in jedem Fall. Während beim Schimmel die Haut immer schwarz ist, ist sie unter dem weissen Fell der Pintos stets rosa.- Shop: odax
