Diazero
The band was born by the initiative of Luis Gomez (bass) and Alex Martinez (guitar) in 2002. After experimenting with different sounds and being part of a couple of bands, the two decided to collaborate their ideas of giving "Rock en Español" a different perspective, the end result, the dream project, Diazero. They recorded an EP in 2003 and an album in 2004 under Black Bear Music Productions©. However, the band still craved more innovation and in 2005, Uriel Torres (drums) and Israel Mota (vocals) became part of Diazero, bringing new ideas to the band. Diazero humbly began playing in bars for small crowds and at times their only audience consisted of the venue's staff. Nevertheless, Diazero projected their talent and included their charm and high energy in every show. At first, it was hard for the band to be accepted in the Spanish rock scene of Atlanta due to their heavier rock style of playing, which was not yet common. Staying true to their sound and with time, the band soon gained recognition amongst the city. Their songs began to stick into people's heads and they started to sing along at their shows. Soon after, promoters started hiring Diazero to play in main venues as opening acts for international solo artists and bands. At the beginning of 2006, the band recorded an EP and by the end of the year, independent record label Blue Door Records © from Chicago signed them to record an album and tour throughout the US. This changed the life of Diazero's members because this was the first time they had traveled outside the southeast. This opportunity opened many doors for them to play to a completely different, diverse, and much larger audience where Diazero's music was enthusiastically accepted. In early 2008, due to changes in the band, the relationship between Diazero and Blue Door Records © came to an end. They continued as an independent band with a different mentality and new goals. As 2008 came to an end, Diazero started recording their new EP in Atlanta. With this EP, they went on tour in the US with the well-known Mexican ska band Inspector. Diazero's first single "Si Tan Solo" was being played in radio stations and many social Internet sites. In 2010 Diazero became part of Golden Boy Entertainment Atlanta and partnered up with their new manager Angel Carbajal. With new management came time to add a new element to their ever-growing sound. They searched for a new guitarist and Arash Sharifi became their newest member, ending the search for the exact sound they desired. Currently, Diazero is set to release their debut video for their song 'Si Tan Solo' in November 24, 2010, more tour dates are set to follow to promote the video.- Shop: odax
