'Who's to Blame' is a fine, soulful remake of a Renovator blues classic. Then comes 'Lonely Christmas' which expresses the pain that too many people feel being alone during the holidays. 'Little Garden' is a rockin', fun blues about a man teasing his lover into an all nighter. 'Baby I'll Try' soulfully describes the refrain of a guy trying to get it right, again and again. 'River Song' is another remake of a great Renovators song, this time simply stated on slide guitar and vocal. 'With These Hands' and 'Lonesome Whistle' take these classic Renovators songs back to their roots, where they rock with acoustic soul and power. The disc closes with 'Even,' a beautiful melody coupled with a sad lyric of loss and frustration. All in all a fabulous collection of songs written, recorded and produced by a very talented and soulful group of musicians.
