    My Bouquet for Frederic
    My love of music started at the age of 10 with my piano teacher Mrs. Doris Meeker of Savage, Maryland. I studied with her for eight years until I graduated from high school and entered the University of Maryland at College Park graduating with a degree in microbiology. My career with FDA as a microbiologist and Consumer Safety Officer ended in 2008 with a well-earned retirement after 30 years of government service. Though I had challenging work and received many honors in my career, I always turned to the piano for inspiration and relaxation. At Peabody in Baltimore, Maryland I studied piano, music theory, adult ensemble, piano concertos, and voice. Those days were a truly memorable period of my life. By focusing into my music, I was able to obtain my career goals and enjoy the benefits it provided later in life. Therefore, I've labeled this music as "micro-music" since it was beneficial to me in enduring my career with FDA. I have enjoyed sharing my love of music with my violinist son Andrei, my lyric soprano daughter-in-law Anne-Marie, and my French teacher daughter Larissa who can also play the piano. I've even started sharing my love of music and piano with my grandchildren, Austin and Bella. Now I am devoting more time to artistic endeavors, piano performance, and continued music studies. I hope that you enjoy the musical selections and my piano performance on the CDs on this site. In the more recent CDs, I especially tried to create a soothing sound for classical music lovers. I feel that this relaxing and soothing music would also be good for meditation, yoga, other forms of rest and relaxation, a prayerful moment, and even drifting off at night into dreamland. Also, I consider myself fortunate to have shared my love of piano performance by playing at teas for about five years at Strathmore Mansion in Bethesda, Maryland.
