Street Gig
Street Gig is Leonel's 3rd CD with cover songs. The title of the album it was inspired in Leonel's street performance in New York City. The artwork is a photo from his beautiful and lovely mother. Growing-up in a musical family, Leonel Lorador started playing guitar as a young boy emulating his Portuguese father and influenced by his Spanish mother's love of song. Leonel is from southern Portugal, a beach and river town close to the Spanish border. Because of the proximity and the family connection to Spain, it's easy to understand how Leonel was inspired by the music of Andalusia. In his teens, he studied at the Conservatory of the Algarve while performing with South Wave, a hard rock band, which toured as a warm up band for the British Rhythm & Blues band, Dr.Feelgood. During his service in the army, Leonel's duty was spent as a member of the Army Big Band, OLE, Orquestra Ligeira do Exército playing guitar and electric bass. At this time he continues his studies at the Lisbon National Conservatory of Music. At the age of 23, Leonel immigrated to the US and studied classical guitar with Ana Maria Rosado and Jazz guitar with Vic Juris. Just as Leonel took his first musical journey from the Algarve of Portugal to Andalusia, Spain, his passion for world music has grown to include the music of Spanish Latin America, Brazil and Afro-Cuban Rhythms. Another musical interest of his is Progressive Rock. At present, he is a freelance guitarist and composer, performing as a recording session musician and a freelance guitarist in the New York metropolitan area.- Shop: odax

Piano Recital-Brian Schembri
Probably one of the most brilliant musicians to emerge from Malta, Brian SCHEMBRI started his music studies under the guidance of his father Carmelo SCHEMBRI, very early establishing himself as a highly talented concert pianist. His frequent recital performances on television, radio and in most of Malta's public concert halls rapidly gained him a remarkably popular reputation. He then travelled to the ex-USSR where he studied piano with Alexander SNEGIRIOV and Sergei DORENSKY and conducting with Roman KOFMAN and Gennady ROZHDESTVENSKY at the Kiev and Moscow 'Tchaikowsky' State Conservatories. Since then Schembri has worked as conductor with the Theatre du Capitole and with the Orchestra National du Capitole in Toulouse, l'Orchestre National de Lyon, Permanent Conductor with the OPF in Paris, Principal Conductor with the Orquestra Metropolitana Lisboa as well as lecturer in music at the University of Malta. He has conducted orchestras such as the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine, l'Orchestra Sinfonica di San Remo, l'Orchestre Symphonique et Lyrique de Nancy, the Malta National Orchestra, l'Orchestre de Bretagne, l'Orchestra Ciutat de Barcelona, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Odessa, the Moscow Soloists, Orquestra Academica Metropolitana, l' Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, the Chamber Orchestra of Geneva, Sofia National Opera Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Apart from giving piano recitals in Malta, Italy, France, Ukraine, Switzerland, Russia and Great Britain, he has performed at the 'Festival Massenet', 'Kiev Symphonic Evenings', 'Octobre en Normandie', 'Les Rencontres Musicales d'Evian', "Festa da Musica", "Lisboa em Festa", "Festival MusicAtlantico", "Festival de Piano Vendôme", "Henley Festival". He has also conducted opera productions at the Rennes and Nancy Opera Theatres and the internationally televised G7 Summit Concert in Lyon. Brian Schembri has composed music for theatre productions at the Manoel Theatre and Teatru Strada Stretta in Malta and the Comédie Française in Paris and has recently recorded Charles Camilleri's new Symphony nr 1 and Kosmos with the the Royal Scottish National Symphony Orchestra. (prelúdio e canção) ?Foi escrita na cidade de Anchieta em fevereiro de 2010 e dedicada ao violonista Átila de Carvalho. Possui dois movimentos: prelúdio e canção.? MINIATURINHAZINHAS Foi escrita na cidade do Rio de Janeiro em 2005, cuja primeira versão foi revisada por Átila de Carvalho. Em 2011 ganhou uma nova revisão por Renan Simões (intérprete da obra neste CD). Seus movimentos são curtos e têm inspiração na série de TV "Chaves". Ei-los: "Aberturinhazinha" Faz uma apresentação resumida de todos os temas da suíte. "Escadinhazinha" Refere-se ao cenário principal da série cujo canto possuiu uma escada. "Barquinhozinho" É baseado no episódio em que a turma do Chaves brincam de barquinho. "Cançãozinhazinha" Pequena canção composta para lembrar os encontros e trocas de olhares de dona Florinda e professor Girafales. "O Cachorrinhozinho e o Gatinhozinho" Imita onomatopaicamente o "au" "au" e o "miau" dos bichos. É baseado em alguns episódios. "Finalizaçãozinhazinha" Reitera os temas apresentados na suíte. SONATA NOSTÁLGICA Foi escrita na cidade de Anchieta em maio de 2010 e dedicada ao violonista Bruno Soares. Obra escrita em movimento único e forma sonata, cujos temas relembram a infância do compositor Rauta. PRELÚDIO E FUGUETTA Foi escrita na cidade do Rio de Janeiro em julho de 2009 e dedicada aos violonistas Humberto Amorim e Leilson Madeira. Possui dois movimentos que nos lembra da estrutura utilizada por Bach em "O Cravo bem temperado". RERIGTIBA Foi escrita na cidade de Anchieta em março de 2010 e dedicada ao violonista Humberto Amorim com revisão de Bruno Soares. Possui movimento único. Seu título significa "lugar de muitas ostras" e foi o primeiro nome da cidade de Anchieta, lugar onde vive atualmente o compositor Rauta. SONATINA (3 faixas) Foi escrita na cidade do Rio de Janeiro em janeiro de 2005 e dedicada aos violonistas Roberto Velasco e Luciano Pires. É a primeira obra para violão composta pelo compositor Rauta. Possui três movimentos, cujos subtítulos foram dados carinhosamente por Roberto Velasco. SUÍTE N. 2 (4 faixas) Foi escrita na cidade do Rio de Janeiro em abril de 2005. Possui quatro movimentos que foram escritos ao estilo barroco e em homenagem a Bach. SUÍTE N. 3 (4 faixas) Foi escrita na cidade do Rio de Janeiro em maio de 2005. Possui quatro movimentos que homenageiam os compositores Francisca Gonzaga, Zequinha de Abreu, Ernesto Nazareth e Heitor Villa-Lobos.- Shop: odax
