In Healing: Beyond Pills & Potions, Dr. Steve Bierman draws on 40 years of clinical experience to restore Mind to medicine and Humanism to healing. Citing case histories from his own remarkable emergency medicine and medical hypnosis practices, Dr. Bierman compels us to acknowledge what material science refuses to see - namely, that Mind Matters. Then, in easy digestible steps, he teaches us how simple refinements of everyday communication (speech and gestures) can enable us to achieve stunningly positive outcomes and lasting cures. Working as an emergency physician, Dr. Bierman became renowned for performing painless procedures - from simple injections and laceration repairs to childbirth to electrical cardioversion. But his other less-celebrated outcomes were equally astonishing: perilous heart rhythms converted to normal with a few well-chosen words, hemorrhages arrested, airways opened, bad habits (smoking) broken - all with a few choice phrases and easy delivery techniques. In his private practice, Dr. Bierman used the same skills to forestall auto-immune diseases, shrink deadly tumors, relieve depression, ameliorate cardiac disease and ensure bloodless, painless surgeries - in essence, to help patients recover their desired wellness. Many of his cures seem like miracles. But, as Dr. Bierman explains, they are the inevitable consequence of an expanded understanding of disease causality and the focused power of ideas. Healing: Beyond Pills & Potions unravels the mysteries of ritual, hypnosis and Placebo, and places the curative power of those phenomena in the hands of patients and caregivers. Here, health is redefined, and the true nature of symptom formation is explored and clarified. With these new conceptual tools, Dr. Bierman teaches both patients and caregivers how to avoid inadvertent “curses,” while instead promoting healing and restoring health. Artful caregivers, as Dr. Bierman calls them, will learn from ungekürzt. “God made men, but Sam Colt made them equal.” (A common 19th century adage)The industrial revolution that unfolded in Western societies at the dawn of the 19th century altered daily life as a rapidly developing paradigm. Military weapons benefited from various upgrades and innovations, even as the soldiers and generals remained confined within Napoleonic tactics while struggling to learn about the new principles of physics and engineering.By the time weapons industrialist Samuel Colt was born, the Lewis and Clark expedition sent to the Pacific by Thomas Jefferson had only recently returned with their report on the first overland continental journey. Outside of a small group of mountain men trapping and trading fur for European fashion magnates, few white settlers had found their way across the Great Plains. The firearms of the revolution demonstrated little difference between a soldier’s flintlock musket and a hunting weapon taken from the mantle.Trapped in the same technological rut, as future wars drew near in the new century, Samuel Colt entered the pool of visionaries in search of the invention that would tip the power balance in favor of those who possessed it. As an observant child of the Industrial Revolution, Colt would ultimately lead the way with the most defining design changes in weaponry, and through constant trial and error, he gave the military what it wanted despite fierce resistance and apathy: an answer to the reloading conundrum. The half-minute intervals in which soldiers, lawmen, and hunters were at their most vulnerable was effectively eliminated after centuries of resignation, and the ensuing refinements to his handguns, in particular, were crucial to the outcomes of multiple wars, the American expansion west, and cowboy life along the frontier.Samuel Colt: The Life and Legacy of the Man Who Invented America’s Most Famous Guns looks at the individual and firearms that helped shape the nation in the 19th ce ungekürzt. Yoga doesn’t have to be hard. And fitness doesn’t have to be a grind. In fact, "yoga fitness" can be one of the most pleasurable and ease provoking journeys of your life. Yes, certain poses (asanas) are more difficult than others. And yes, doing the work to refine your health requires effort. But poses alone are not yoga. And effort in itself doesn’t necessarily result in health. Body Integration simplifies all this. The yogis out there who can bend their bodies into a pretzel with little effort are far fewer than those of us who desperately need relief from life’s most basic source of suffering — residual tension. And comparing ourselves to those yogis only serves to deflate motivation, inspiration, and generally results in false narratives in the clients I work with. This practice is designed to work with any body in any condition. My dad was one of my lab rats in the early versions of the program. He’s confined to a wheel chair 99 percent of the time and has a partially severed spinal cord between the C4 and C5 vertebra. The refinements are instantaneous. From struggling to stand one moment, to taking a moment to integrate the body-breath connection the next and begin to stand, and transition himself from the bed to the chair the next. The results are immediate. Trauma that has been locked in the body, and the corresponding emotional static, is the single biggest source of suffering in the world. This theory is designed to be specific to your body. Your trauma. And move you in the direction of your freedom. As a synthesis of yoga, tai chi, and exercise physiology, this theory of body integration acts as paradigm of mindfulness endeavoring toward enhancing your emotional resilience toward being more heartful. A shift in your relationship with your body. It’s about learning to love the body you’re in, and listening to the wisdom the body is offering you to shift into a healthier, more fit, more integrated way of living. ungekürzt. Language: English. Our elections are have two parts: Voting and Money. While we still have one person, one vote, every citizen does not have an equal say. The amount of money, that comes from outside the district or state for our Congressional elections, is obscene. It is nothing but legalized corruption. Why do we let corporations and union interfere in our elections with their contributions? That's corruption! Democracy is defined as Government of, by and for the people. The constituents should be solely responsible for voting and contributions to their candidates. How do we know our government is corrupt? When Boeing's Political Action Committee donates to candidates of both parties, and gets Congress to remove the Federal Aviation Administration from certifying their new plane, the 737 Max. Boeing gets to certify their plane. Then over 340 people died, when two 737 Max planes crashed. Then the House of Representative Committee conducts an investigation, finding Boeing and the FAA responsible for plane crashes. It was Boeing and Congress that was responsible for the awful, tragic dead passengers. Why does the Federal Drug Administration allow 30 day prescriptions for drugs, that are addictive after 5 days? Is the creation of an opioid crisis that kills millions of Americans and ruins even more lives corruption? Why are Wall Street firms considered "Too big to fail" and not "Big enough to fail"? We had smaller firms that were not negligent, that could have stepped in to fill the void. Could the millions of dollars contributed to both parties have influenced Congress? Are there any convictions? How long have the politicians been incapable of regulating our political finance system? One hundred and ninety two years! Andrew Jackson and the Second US Bank. It's time we fix our government with the 28th Amendment! As Americans, we always fight for Democracy. I would like a chance to avoid the death and destruction of revolution. Hence the website, add28.net. The book, "The 28th Amendment" is a cautionary story of a very efficient, but deadly resolution to our crisis. It has humor to lessen the outrage we feel. The book moves at a rapid pace. The arguments in this book will be used by others to incite revolution. I am against Revolution and for the ratification of the 28th Amendment. For that I am truly sorry, but democracy will continue its refinements.

DAVE TANNER - America Is You And Me SCD-117 1. America Is You And Me was written by Phil York - Jim Batchelor - Jan Basham - Belinda Batchelor, with some refinements by Dave Tanner. The idea is to stir your heart with pride for our great country. Dave Tanner delivers a very heartfelt version! 2. I Love You And America was begun by Phil York, but greatly improved by Dave Tanner when he slanted the verses to tell the true story of two friends of his, one being an immigrant. The message is so true that you have to leave America to see how the rest of the world lives, or immigrate here, to appreciate all that we have. In particular, the freedoms and rights guaranteed by our Constitution. 3. Angels In The Dust was written by songwriter, singer, Mr. Vonnie L. Lightfoot shortly after the 9/11 tragedy. It it he conveys the eerie emotions and mental pictures we all have of that event. Mr. Lightfoot lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and is a prolific songwriter. 4. Forever The Beat was written by Philip Wylie York, aka Phil York, as an anthem for freedom around the world. It's infectuous BEAT parallels the march for freedom and the fight against oppression in America and elsewhere. Don't get out of step with the BEAT! 5. A New Star Spangled Banner was written by Dave Tanner when he noticed that the original melody to the National Anthem is difficult for many singers to sing. And that melody was borrowed from an English drinking song! (Details are in track 6 of this CD). Thus, Dave contemporizes the wonderful words penned in 1814 by Francis Scott Key. There will be occasions for both the original Star Spangled Banner and this one, with absolutely no disrespect for the original. 6. The Story Of The Star Spangled Banner was written by Dave Tanner for entertainment purposes as well as a history lesson for Americans of all ages. It details, in music and sound effects and with Dave narrating, why we are so proud of our heritage and the fierce battle for our freedom. This CD was produced by 3-Grammy recording engineer Phil York, who considers it his finest contribution to the world around him, after 50 years of living and working in the music recording business and in recording studios.
