Gegründet in den späten 70er Jahren, ist die Besetzung stabil geblieben: Bill Sharpe an den Keyboards, George Anderson am Bass, Roger Odell am Schlagzeug und Jill Saward am Gesang. In den späten 70er Jahren entstand eine große einheimische Underground-Bewegung, die von wichtigen amerikanischen Künstlern wie Ronnie Laws, Roy Ayers und Donald Byrd beeinflusst wurde.
