Ich bin 1940 in Eutin geboren, in der Europastadt Neustadt in Holstein aufgewachsen und habe dort als Gärtnermeister bis 2012 das Floristfachgeschäft Blumen-Evers geführt. Seit über sieben Jahrzehnten begleitet mich nun die plattdeutsche Sprache - spätestens seit meinem Ruhestand ist die Pflege dieses Kulturgutes eine echte Herzenssache: Ich gebe Plattdeutschkurse an ostholsteinischen Bildungseinrichtungen und schreibe plattdeutsche Kurzgeschichten und Dööntjes, mit denen ich im Rahmen meiner Lesungen kreuz und quer durch das Land reise. Jede freie Minute nutze ich, um mein Online-Wörterbuch 'Platt för Plietsche' zu pflegen und zu erweitern. Ich träume davon, dass die plattdeutsche Sprache auch in Zukunft fortbesteht.
