Gangway for Tomorrow
A carpool ride to work at an aircraft plant is the device connecting five separate stories of the patriotic war effort at home. Five strangers are enjoying a silent car ride when the driver (Charles Arnt) surprises them with an invitation to Sunday supper, triggering waves of reflection in the others. Margo stars as French nightclub singer Lisette in a Casablanca style wartime thriller. Robert Ryan, as underdog racecar driver Joe Dunham, presents a rousing sports story. James Bell is a prison warden in a film-noir tale of crime and punishment. Amelita Ward stars as Miss America in a showbiz drama of lessons learned and love lost. And finally, acting great John Carradine steals the show in a Capraesque tale of an educated hobo who rediscovers his conscience in a small American town. Radio drama king Arch Oboler crafted the screenplay for this most unique anthology picture.- Shop: odax

Special Days and Other Fun Stuff
Child, parent, grandparent, carpool, and road trip tested. Written and taught by a kindergarten/preschool music teacher who began recording after repeated song requests from children, parents, and teachers. Eight songs about holidays throughout the school year: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and special days such as Washington's birthday, Lincoln's birthday and Valentine's Day and the others on a variety of subjects. A favorite is 'Super School Kid' in which the name of any school or church can be inserted. Kids love to say, 'No, no, no' in 'Washington.' ( Kids love to say 'no' anyway so here's a legitimate chance.) 'Lincoln' is jazzy. 'Man-in-the-Moon' is a lullaby. 'Pegasus' is about a flying horse. The list goes on. Everybody has a favorite.- Shop: odax

Fire Truck Fire Truck & More Fun Stuff
Parents Choice Gold Award. Child, parent, grandparent, teacher, carpool and road trip tested. Written by a kindergarten/preschool music teacher who taught her songs for years and took her cue to record when kids, parents, and teachers made requests over and over for songs about new shoes, fire trucks, trains, ducks, a turtle, rain, tugboats and a variety of other subjects, including a song about a bullfrog who finds love. There's a grandparent/child double song - what's that? the grandmother sings her song, the child sings her song - then they sing together - pretty cool. There are songs to listen to, sing with, and one to fall down to ('The Tired Song'). They have made six hour trips playing non-stop with only a smattering of people who admitted they lied when they said the CD player broke. They are truly ageless and even daddies have been known to play them when there's nobody else in the car.- Shop: odax
