Pensa-se também sobre o conceito da palavra poder e o empoderamento apresentadas por Michel Foucault, Chimamanda Ngozi, Joice Berth, Magdalena León, Margareth Schuler, Srilatha Batliwala e Stephanie Riger, reiterando a importância da centralidade do trabalho no processo de empoderamento. Alguns conceitos e características da interseccionalidade também foram estudados.
