In Indonesien, im Süden Sulawesis liegt der Berg Rante Karuna, der nicht zuletzt durch seine Höhe von bis zu 1700 Metern ein optimales Anbaugebiet für Kaffee darstellt. Mitte der achtziger Jahre wurde die in Vergessenheit geratene, vom Dschungel einverleibte Farm Gayo wiederentdeckt und mit viel Mühe aufgebaut. Die Anstrengungen haben sich gelohnt: neben der Wiedergewinnung einer verloren geglaubten Bohne dient ein Teil der Farm samt einer Schule, einem Krankenhaus und Wohnraum auch den Menschen vor Ort.
