Now, she is back and ready to overtake the music world as we know it. Medley has a new album coming out in September of 2010, entitled Love Me Beautiful. Her intriguing story dates all the way back to her first performance. This performance was in kindergarten when she sang her rendition of The Beatles song entitled Good Day Sunshine. Medley, a Texas native, was instantly drawn to the world of performance. The captivating performance aspect encouraged Medley to join the local gospel choir and she then started performing in churches and also made television appearances. After years of performance, she dedicated herself to furthering her career by attending Florida's IMI School of Music and Ministry. After attending school at IMI, Medley proceeded to release her first solo recording. Charlotte Medley started exposing her music and building her vast fan base by playing coffee houses and other venues in the Texas area. It was then time for her to embark and shine onto the next phase of her career. She then moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Medley began playing all the famous venues on the circuit. After a short amount of time, she won Battle of the Bands sponsored by Bud Light and FM100 where she caught the attention of the top music industry executives. She then landed a major record deal with DreamWorks Records. Charlotte Medley then went to Los Angeles to record her debut album. In a flash of time, she returned to have a meeting with her A&R individual to find out that the record company was closing down. Then, after a few meetings and a writer's showcase in New York City, Charlotte was resigned and the debut album called The Fall was released on Sea Bright Records. Key individuals in Sea Bright Records included Burt Conrad and legendary producer Nile Rogers. The release was embraced by radio stations and retailers all across North America. Charlotte has also shared the stage with acts such as 3 Doors Down, Willie Nelson, Kentucky Headhunters, and Jo Dee Messina. This impressive artist is also immersed in giving back to the communities that gave her so much. Charlotte's various charity contributions include organizing and performing at events for charities at St. Jude Hospital, Second Harvest Food Banks, and several Prison Outreach Programs. Her driven passion is encouraging people to accomplish whatever they may dream through the gift of music. With a multitude of accomplishments already under her belt, Charlotte Medley went back to teaming up with other talented writers such as Henry Paul of Blackhawk, Billy Burnette of Fleetwood Mac, and Dewayne Hitchings. Dewayne is best known for writing Rod Stewarts' " Do you think I'm sexy." Charlotte has also started writing with Tommy Tutone, Kent Wells, and many more. She has teamed up with these talented individuals to work on her upcoming release titled Love Me Beautiful. This album was recorded and mixed in Nashville, Tennessee but also in London, England. Local indie label PLIMRO Records, is celebrating the release of A Town Hall Party Vol.1 Featuring Big Lou Bryant. The first in a series, Volume 1, is a tribute to The Jukebox 4, a popular local party band from the mid 1940s. The music on the disc is from the early days of country and features some fine musicians who stand in for some members that have long since passed. The disc was inspired by modern day country legend Jimmie Dale Gilmore's "Come On Back," a tribute to his Dad. Producer and engineer Mark Bryant sought to record and produce a quality record as a tribute to his own father, "Big Lou" Bryant, who is featured on the album and is still playing guitar and singing every day at the age of 83! You need only close your eyes while listening to the opening track "You Call Everybody Darlin'" and you are immediately transported back to 1946. His tender sweet voice still brings a tear to the eye as he sings favorites like Red Foley's "Old Shep" and Buddy Jewel's "Today I Started Loving You Again." While the record certainly has the feel of a sentimental journey, the musicians and production on this album give the disc a contemporary flair not unlike recent productions of T-Bone Burnette, providing modern-day brilliance while maintaining an old-time feel. Featured artists include Stan Swiniarski on piano and Steve Latt on fiddle and pedal steel. Together they provide a wonderful classic country sound when joined with The Jukebox 4, who these days consist of "Big Lou" and three of his own sons to round out the group. Although many CDs may set out to capture what "Town Hall Party" does, very few are able to succeed. This disc however, seems to get it right in every way. This is one disc that will see plenty of plays on your CD player and deserves high praise.
