  Die Harfinistin Savourna Stevenson ist eine der profiliertesten schottischen Künstlerinnen. Als Tochter des Komponisten Ronald Stevenson kam sie schon früh mit Musik in Berührung. Sie studierte Piano, Komposition und Harfe, experimentierte aber schon früh mit den verschiedensten musikalischen Stilen wie Klassik, Jazz, Weltmusik und traditioneller Musik. So entwickelte sie eine einzigartige Virtuosität und ebnete sich den Weg zu einer Karriere, die sie u.a. mit Yehudi Menuhin, Danny Thompson, June Tabor und Toumani Diabate zusammenführte und in deren Verlauf sie auf zahlreiche Auftragsarbeiten für Theater, Film, TV und Ballett zurückblicken kann. Auch das 2000er Album "Touch Me Like The Sun" zeugt wieder von der imaginativen Tiefe und Kraft ihrer Musik, die bei aller Leichtigkeit und filigraner Ornamentik schier überwältigend in ihrer poetischen Schönheit ist. Höhepunkt der Platte ist zweifellos das Titelstück, das einzig gesungene des Albums, kongenial interpretiert von Eddie Reader (Ex-Fairground Attractions).
