Er verknallt sich in sie und lässt dabei kein einziges Fettnäpfchen aus, um sie irgendwie doch noch zu erobern. Sowas hat es doch schon hundertmal gegeben, oder? - Das wäre aber ein Irrtum, denn in dieser Geschichte wird der Zuhörer ganz unvermittelt, zusammen mit den zwei Protagonisten, auf eine sehr unterhaltsame und teilweise sehr aberwitzige Entdeckungsreise geschickt, die in Deutschland ganz harmlos beginnt und dann immer mehr Fahrt aufnimmt. Er wird somit zum Zeugen von verworrenen Ereignissen und Verstrickungen, deren Handlungsradius sich letztendlich sogar bis nach Afrika erstreckt. Der alte Traum des Peter Pan wird durchlebt und sogar noch vertieft, denn irgendwie wollen die Beiden genau so wenig erwachsen werden, wie der Held in James Matthew Barries Meisterwerk.In Bananas vermischen sich erzählerische Spielfreude, Entdeckungsdrang, Arglosigkeit oder auch Naivität, was immer wieder zu leichten bis mittelschweren Konflikten führt und stets unerwartete Wendungen erzeugt. Sowohl die skurrilen Situationen, in die sich beide Protagonisten begeben, als auch die Ansichten Saschas, um das weibliche Geschlecht zu beeindrucken, haben es in sich, dass man für diese Geschichte die Beg deutsch.
