    Since the age of four and a half, piano has been a huge part of my life. I am currently a student at Chapman University, in Orange County, studying Music Therapy. I have always played piano but composing came later, around age sixteen which is when I wrote Cascade. Composing has been my emotional outlet in which I poor everything I cannot express in words. I am now twenty years old and it is honestly the hugest thrill for me to be able to share with you a very special and personal part of me. I hope you will enjoy my music because it's something I do out of pure love and passion. =) As a little side note: Many often wonder how I began piano so let me share =) My neighbor is a singer and still to this day, gives singing lessons all the time. When I was little, I would run over and watch as she taught her students. Once the lesson was over, while she walked her student to the door and greeted her next one, I would jump at the piano to mimic the warm up exercises. A couple months later, she decided to let my mom know what I was doing and urged her: 'Audrey, you NEED to buy a piano and start Tara on some piano lessons.' My mom was completely confused... Tara? piano...? Well my mom started saving up, putting $20 bills aside in a little envelope. In the mean time, she would keep her eyes out for piano sales and one day found a family in need of selling their piano right away. So she bought the piano that I still play on til this day =) However, this piano is starting to get a LITTLE old ... so maybe someday I will be able to buy myself a beautiful grand piano =)
