Bloodline
Let's face it...hymnals are great and even annointed, but these days it often takes more than what 'Grandma' was brought up on in church to bring people to the Lord. These are undoubtedly the days of 'mind stimulation'. The members of CWC Power and Light Company has a focus and a God given call to reach those that the 'traditional church' are not reaching. We believe that God uses any tools He deems necessary to reach His children and draw them into Himself. If that means using bluesy, rocking guitars and wailing vocals, then let it be. Remember, He is not willing that any should perish. So, if you think that you can't praise God and jam at the same time, just try this album! We read in the Bible that many of God's chosen people praised with all they had within' them.....and what they had within them was God. We read how King David radically praised the Lord right out of his clothes. We read how Jehosaphat sent out the band in front of the army to confuse the enemy. The BLOODLINE album aims to do just that. CWC Power and Light Company is taking the music that Satan himself has used for so long to lure and deceive so many and turning it around, through the power of God, to bring people back to the Lord and His message of Love and Salvation!! These songs are scripturally based and speak truth and praise. The first cut, 'Lil' Rockin' Prayer', conveys a message of everything happening for the glory of God...past, present, and future. It speaks of how He even takes all of our 'mess-ups' and turns them around because He has had His hand on us all along. Beauty for ashes! This song says, 'Lord, I am blessed that you would use me, the way that I am, along the music I love to do Your work!' The second cut, which is the title cut, 'Bloodline', has a fifties blues feel. The message is that we have a God who cares for us more than we could ever imagine. The first verse deals with issue of abortion, a huge topic in our society today. Secondly, it addresses the very words that Jesus himself spoke to us about equality among His children and how He has no 'favorites'. This has a lot of deep meaning as it talks of some of the struggles of bearing the cross with Jesus but how we are so sweetly bonded through Him through His infinite blood. The cut 'Be Just Fine' has a modern message reply to people often referred to as 'they'. You know, the people that are spoken about when you hear someone say 'they say that...' and you respond with 'who is 'they''? This is a message to the 'Hollywood' folks who like to judge and stereotype us all into those oh-so-wrong categories. It is a bold Christian reply that tells them and the rest of the world where our priorities should stand....and it ain't the cover of Vogue! Yes, there is some rocking and singing in your car to be done with this album, but there is also a softer and worshipful side, too. There are definetly some softer 'spend time with God' tunes to offer as well. The song 'Father, Father' is based from the Prodigal son story and tells of the Lord's long-suffering love, mercy and grace for us. There is nothing this world can offer us that even comes close to having a moment with God. It is our hope that this album will bless your soul. It has been dedicated to the Lord for His greater purpose. So just know that if you are listening to this, it was God appointed especially for you. It has been the prayer of CWC Power and Light Company that this album would fall into the hands and ears that need it the most!
