Der Lampenschirm dieser Pendelleuchte ist vollkommen flexibel: Er besteht aus einer Vielzahl extrem dünner und biegsamer Holzringe, die im Raum hängen. Dieser leichte Körper wird aus Sperrholz hergestellt, das mit dem Laser zugeschnitten wird. Wenn sie an der Decke aufgehängt wird, entfaltet sich die Form und bekommt durch die Schwerkraft ihr Volumen. Durch die extrem dekorative und stark emotionale Wirkung, die in der intelligenten und originellen Verwendung der Materialien zum Ausdruck kommt, wird diese Lampe zu einem wahrhaft besonderen Stück. Die Illan-Pendelleuchte ist eine außergewöhnliche Mischung aus Natürlichkeit und Modernität. Die dünnen Sperrholzlamellen zeichnen wunderbare geometrische Muster und bilden ein spitzenartiges Etwas aus Holz. Das luftig-leichte Gebilde spielt mit Transparenz und Licht, wie es die Vegetation in der Natur täte. Durch das durchbrochene Material entstehen tolle Schattenspiele an den Wänden oder der Decke. Illan setzt ein Minimum an Material ein und erzeugt so eine außerordentliche Wirkung. Die Anzahl der eingesetzten Komponenten wurde auf ein Minimum reduziert und der Herstellungsprozess fördert eine möglichst geringe Umweltauswirkung. Um die Verpackung zu reduzieren, wird diese Pendelleuchte flach zusammengelegt geliefert. Sie wird aus (FSC-zertifiziertem) Holz gefertigt, das aus nachhaltig bewirtschafteten Pflanzungen stammt. Das LED-Leuchtmittel erzeugt eine sehr angenehme und erholsame diffuse Beleuchtung. Der Name „Illan” ist ungarisch und bezeichnet etwas Vorübergehendes, Vergängliches, dessen Schönheit man im Hier und Jetzt wahrnehmen muss, ohne sich durch die Alltagshektik ablenken zu lassen..
