    Malleolus das lateinische Wort für 'majuelo' bedeutet im örtlichen Dialekt 'kleiner Rebgarten' und eine ungeheure Wucht und Tiefe bekommt der Wein durch das Lesegut ältester Lagen der Moros. Seinen Feinschliff erhält er durch die 18 monatige Reife in Barriques aus französischer Eiche. Im Glas leuchtet ein dunkles, kräftiges Rubinrot, im Bouquet finden sich reife Noten schwarzer und roter Beeren, vermählt mit balsamischen Tönen, aber auch würzige Aspekte von Tabak und Kräutern. Am Gaumen kraftvoll, tanninreich und stark, aber dennoch samtig mit einem tollen Finish. Durchaus mit langem Potential. Ein charaktervoller Wein, wunderbar zu kräftigen Wildgerichten.

Er gibt viel von der für ihn typischen Mineralität preis. Diese verdankt er seinen kalkhaltigen Böden, in denen die Reben seit über 50 Jahren wurzeln. Er reifte in französischer Eiche, was ihm zusätzlich Eleganz und Finesse verleiht. Schon das Bouquet deutet in seiner Intensität die unbändige Kraft des Weines an.
