Zubie Zubie's lead track,'Dibango', pays homage to African born musician Manu Di Bango. The Bossa Nova/Swing ballad 'Jennie' has it's inspiration from Paul Desmond's performances at the famous jazz landmark 'Bourbon Street' in Toronto. Noteworthy is the presence throughout the album of Persian guitarist Fardad Faladianpour's unique and distinct improvistions (No Mas Lagrimas) 'Miles Away' is dedicated to Miles Davis. Wayne Shorter's 'Footprints' with it's signature bass line works great with the modal treated and great drum solo by great Canadian jazz drummer Bobby 'Crow' Clarke.
